NHS Procurement North East- (prone) is a ‘collaborative procurement organisation’ working in partnership with Stakeholder Trusts in the North East Strategic Health Authority, contracting for goods and services on behalf of the NHS.

The organisation is supported by the Strategic Health Authority and the Prone Board is working towards the development of further Collaborative arrangements in line with the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency’s strategy for Collaborative Hubs. Prone is supported and works closely with the North East Patches.

Bradley Symcox- Project Manager

Prone Role: Brad currently works within the Commodities, Goods & Services team as a Project Manager working on regional pharmacy projects which include Viscoelastics (Joints) and Overlabelling services for medicines. In addition to this Brad has been working closely with the South Tees NHS Foundation Trust and is currently tendering for Prosthetic Sundries, EVAR equipment and Endometrial Ablation devices. Brad is also linked with the recent Stoma Care contract of which he will be looking to implement with help from local PCT's in the near future"

Background: Brad joins Procurement North East with a varied procurement background having previously worked within a local North East Trust for 7 years. Brad brings experience and knowledge of service contracts such as legal services, childcare vouchers and sexual health services with a detailed understanding in medical and surgical and EU Purchasing. To add to Brad's CV he has also been the procurement lead for a number of local NHS construction and refurbishment contracts helping to complete them within the specified schedule and under budget.
